There is nothing like the joy of growing your own vegetables. Vegetables fresh from your garden not only have more nutrients than the ones bought at the supermarket, but you're likely to eat more of them.
This cake was made to encourage everyone to grow their own vegetables, which is really good for the environment and also connects us to nature!
A seemingly unassuming cake revealed a beautiful hidden message when cut, much to the surprise of my husband…while I waited with bated breath hoping that the heart would be perfectly positioned in the center!
Oh! The joy of creating flower arrangements with flowers from your own yard….roses, dahlias, gladioli, lilies grow in our region very well in summer months. When combined with some foliage from the trees, the flower arrangements can rival professional bouquets available in floral shops!
Over the summer break, my little daughter taught herself how to make and decorate cupcakes with buttercream.
Since my daughter was so excited about her new bed which arrived on her 9th birthday, we decided to make a replica of the same bed but in an edible version! It took almost a whole day to bake and decorate the cake, but totally worth the effort!
